Born in 1987 in Oegstgeest, Bart van Overbeek’s trajectory is really an impactful and multifaceted one. His studies in international relations as well as Environment and resource management lay the foundations for a career that has geared towards Circular Economy, exemplified by his role as lobbyist in Den Haag and Consultant at @circleeconomy. He’s also the co-founder of de Ceuvel (a cleantech playground in Amsterdam Noord) and @cafe_de_ceuvel, as well as the co-founder of the @lighthouse.foundation, an autonomous free space and underground nightclub. Regarding his role for de Gemeente Amsterdam, currently he is working as a sustainability/policy advisor for kernteam vrije ruimte, directie Ruimte en Duurzaamheid. Last year he was inclusion and diversity officer for the R&D department and he worked previously for Bedrijfsafval, directie afval en grondstoffen as projectmanager.
