MARIJE BAALMAN

Marije Baalman is an artist and researcher/developer working in the field of interactive sound and light art, based in Amsterdam. She makes music, music-theatre performances, and installations. She is part of the Bajesdorp community that developed the incubator for artists & activists Het Nieuwe Bajesdorp, which was completed mid December 2023 after many years of work. She co-founded the organisation Vrijcoop in 2015, a network of housing cooperatives in the Netherlands.
